Advances in artificial intelligence and the production of portable ultrasound probes present an opportunity to revolutionize the way point of care medical providers care for their patients. Rather than subjecting patients to long wait times and inconvenient travel to access medical imaging, point of care professionals like doctors and nurses will be able to perform these exams on site. Sonance, by combining AI and portable ultrasound into a convenient and affordable package, is enabling this.
The Sonance solution
Sonance’s flagship product is an integrated hardware and software package targeted at family medicine clinics. It consists of an ultrasound probe, a tablet computer integrated with the probe, and AI acquisition and interpretation software along with supporting web-based management tools. Our product will allow multiple modules to be deployed to clients, with the initial offering focusing on wrist and scaphoid fractures, elbow fractures, and shoulder rotator cuff injuries.
